Saw Ertan's video and of course knew of Canelle, French bakery next door and French rest Bistro Eloise, and old school Chinese spot JJ garden on other end of strip mall, but was always curious about Plaka. Curiosity satisfied last night for dinner with a delicious very freshly prepared meal. Truly kind lovely people running this place, excellent attentive service checking on you like you are family. Chicken breast was perfect, spinach pie very rich and made with care, crisp flavorful salad with good and plentiful quality feta , lemon potatoes cooked and seasoned perfectly. They have complimentary lemon cake to share. I was expected more of a lemon Portokalopita ( orange cake) but I didn't really taste the density of phyllo in this style preparation. Will definitely return. Recc you make reservation, it got crowded as soon as we were seated.

The food and service at this authentic, family-run Greek restaurant are excellent. We're new patrons but have returned several times over the last few months. The combo platters are beautifully presented as are the 4-spread appetizers.

The atmosphere is great, and the food is amazing fresh, seasoned perfectly, and very tasteful. I found this spot through social media after seeing NewYorkTurk post about it months ago, and I’ve wanted to come ever since. Finally made it, and it was absolutely worth it. Don’t hesitate β€” come see for yourself 😊

Went to this place on my recent trip to NY after I saw it on that Turkish cab driver's youtube channel. So when I went in there it felt familiar cause of the video 🀣 it was 12 pm on a Wednesday not packed but they had one big table which seemed to have the chef stressed out. Ordered the chicken francese, spinach pie, and 2 small greek salads one with chicken. They sent out these pitas with this olive spread, yooo that spread is delicious. Don't know if it's homemade but need more of that. Then the salads came out and the portion was huge. Chicken well made and flavorful the salad fresh. Then the chicken francese came out and again a huge portion. More pitas with tzatziki sauce and again the sauce/ spread was delicious. Now I'm hoping those were homemade cause 🀌🏼 By now I'm full tasting wifey's chicken francese, the lemon potatoes, the salad, and the pitas. My girl's like what about your spinach pie? They forgot it but didn't charge me and like I said I was full. The service was great, the portions were huge, food was delicious. Will go back when I go back to NY cause they owe me that spinach pie.
